He told me I just had a foot stuck in my ribs and not to worry about it, pregnancy was just uncomfortable and I needed to deal with it. I could come in and see him but he wouldn't be able to do anything for me anyway and would just end up sending me to L&D and if I really wanted to I could just go straight there, so I did. Thank goodness I did, it turned out I had HELLP syndrome with a platelet count of 50K and I was delivered via emergency-C within a few hours of arriving. I had no previous indications of this and did not have pre-e along with it, and my ONLY symptom was the abdominal aching. I understand there are a lot of people that try to pull one over on L&D and think they're sneaky or subtle, but occasionally there is a true emergency and you never know until it gets checked out. Just sayin... I do enjoy your blog, just wanted to point this out for the record.mewwsicalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08413933155640323351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6299081402172544281.post-47819426661563931752008-10-01T11:51:00.000-07:002008-10-01T11:51:00.000-07:00If she wanted an u/s so bad, she could have gone t...If she wanted an u/s so bad, she could have gone to one of those 3D u/s places at the mall. It wouldn't have cost her thousands, and she could have snuck back into her house before her husband found out. (What grown woman sneaks out of her own house anyway? *boggle* Sounds like a lovely environment to bring a child in to.)Morteraehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05513506667110243627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6299081402172544281.post-13072015350992703182008-04-01T14:05:00.000-07:002008-04-01T14:05:00.000-07:00sounds like the losers who show up in the ER and s...sounds like the losers who show up in the ER and say "I need a CT Scan" yeah...ok...sit your butt down for 15 hours and then we'll talk about it.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05991955039530496089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6299081402172544281.post-5091401646208797052008-03-06T10:53:00.000-08:002008-03-06T10:53:00.000-08:00why anyone would want MORE ultrasounds than absolu...why anyone would want MORE ultrasounds than absolutely medically neccessary is beyond me!kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14050916344094533720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6299081402172544281.post-30692876577297291912007-12-05T17:15:00.000-08:002007-12-05T17:15:00.000-08:00now that it's getting icy...I love the "I slipped ...now that it's getting icy...I love the "I slipped and fell today, do you think they'll do an u/s?"OBRNinNEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03920100170961478372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6299081402172544281.post-84225270902184318442007-10-24T08:36:00.000-07:002007-10-24T08:36:00.000-07:00Yep, I've had those patients.
